A planning companion for a day out, whether you are going on your own, with a friend, or with a whole group. Start loose: say roughly where you are, when, and what you fancy, and it brings back a handful of ideas worth leaving the house for. Pick one and it builds the day around it: a route with stops, somewhere for coffee or a bite before, something on in town, the main event at the right time, and a good spot to land afterwards. It checks opening hours, tickets and hygiene ratings so nothing on the plan is shut or grim.

Ask it things like

• I've got Saturday free in Manchester and no plans. Sort me out
• Somewhere within an hour of Leeds for a day out with three mates
• There's an exhibition in Bristol I want to see. Build the rest of the day around it
• A walk, a decent lunch and a pub to finish. Where should I go?
• Rainy Sunday, two of us, nothing booked. Ideas?
